The Blockchain Examiner is a reader-supported editorial publication. This notice describes what limited personal data we process, why we process it, and how we handle the small amount that does reach us.
The publication is built as a static site. We do not run third-party analytics scripts in the page chrome. We do not embed cross-site tracking pixels. We do not run a newsletter signup at launch.
What we collect
We collect standard web request data through the hosting provider. That includes IP address, user agent, request path, and timestamps, used for security and aggregate operational logging.
We do not collect names, email addresses, payment data, or precise location data through the site itself.
Cookies
The site does not set advertising cookies or marketing analytics cookies. Any cookies set by the static hosting provider are functional or security-related and are described by the provider.
If we add reader features that require cookies in future, this page will be updated and the change will be logged in the Changelog.
Email correspondence
If you write to the editorial desk, we retain your email and message for as long as is reasonably necessary to respond and to keep a record of any corrections requested.
We do not use editorial correspondence for marketing. We do not share email addresses with third parties.
Search
On-site search runs locally in the reader's browser. Search queries are not sent to a third-party search provider.
Your rights
Readers in jurisdictions with data protection laws have rights of access, correction, and deletion in relation to any personal data we hold about them. Requests can be sent via the Contact page.
We respond to verified requests within the timelines required by applicable law.
Changes to this notice
Material changes to this notice are logged in the Changelog. Minor edits (clarifications, typo fixes) are applied without a separate log entry.
